♔ Jean-Philippe Rameau - Suite in G minor
♔ Luigi Boccherini - String Quintet in E major, Op. 11, No. 5
I was supposed to get a lot done today - I have two papers and a midterm coming up, not to mention I’ve been upset over the death of my grandaunt. However, I woke up at 11 and realized I wasn’t going to get anything done today, so instead I decided to get dolled up, go downtown, and pick up Kamikaze Girls. While I was downtown, I got some sushi in the food court and ran into some Hetalia cosplayers. There’s a convention today in Ottawa - who knew! After my little meal I went to the bus stop and two men started chatting me up, though one was doing most of the talking. He kept smoking while he spoke to me, and he seemed to be senile. He told me he was originally from Nunavut, and he was both a psychic and an artist (a painter, carver, film maker… the list goes on). But he did have a fascinating pair of blue-purple eyes. When my bus finally came, the other man got on and sat next to me, and he chatted with me for a few minutes until his stop came up. I had noticed a cupcake store on my way downtown, so I went there before going home. It was amazing! It had a very light, feminine air about it, and the food was great. I had an espresso and a pumpkin cupcake with caramel cream cheese icing. I’ve never had an espresso before, but I quite liked it, and the cupcake was the best I’ve ever had in my life. I plan on going back next Saturday. I’m finally home now, and quite happy that I decided to go out instead of staying in.
